John Harris is a Utah based photographer specializing in images of remote locations and the creation of abstract and unique visuals. Since 1985 over 23 years, John has documented in parts of Asia, Mexico, and extensively in the United States. John now focuses on the southwest for documentation and as a means to create the unique visuals in his mind. John has been active in publications, galleries, foundations, and educational venues.
John is respected as a skilled photographer. His creative intuition and passion, coupled with a strong attention to technical detail make for stunning prints which boast crisp, sharp grain, striking high-key work and sensual color saturation. The work, both inspiring and evocative, draws a connection between the beholder and the engaging subjects of the photographs. Each exquisite print is opulent and elegant, allowing the image to be viewed with reverence and sensitivity.
As haunting as the images are thought provoking, the artist wishes to open a dialogue about the diversity, beauty and hardship of our interlocking world.
